I recently joined a gym. You get one free session with a personal trainer and in my session he did show me how to use 3 or 4 of the pieces of equipment. He wanted me to sign up to have a personal trainer on a monthly basis but it is too expensive for me. So is there a book or website that could tell me all about equipment found in most gyms and help me plan my own workout?
The people that run the gym should show you for fitness equipment free; at my gym it is their priority that we are taught to use the machines correctly otherwise OSH is all over them if someone has an accident. Try asking the recepetion if you could get someone to give you a quick 15 minute tute. Sorry; I don't know of any books that could help you =(

I am looking something to tone after having my 3rd child I want to tone up. I am not worried about weight loss but mainly toning. I want something that is versitle but I hate the eliptical. Thanks for any input!
Walking and doing housework is the best exercise for losing fat fitness equipment and ensure that your diet does not include any high calorie foods. Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster.
