After putting Akismet in last night, I woke up this morning to find that 40 comments had been blocked. Yay, Akismet! Still, a few got through, and I wanted to submit those back to Akismet. A few lines of code and all is done. Who said other people's Perl was hard to read? ( code )

I look at other people's weblogs and see scintillating conversation run amok. This means one of two things: either no one is interested in what I'm saying (likely) or my words are so profound that they require no response.

To salve my envy, the spammers have decided that my weblog (and a few other weblogs hosted on this site) are targets for spam.

Luckily, Brad Fitzpatrik and the crew at LiveJournal had to deal with this long before I did, so they added some pretty nifty solutions.

Hopefully, I won't have to deal with that too much, anymore.

Give me one reason I shouldn't fire you? You've been lazy, done crap all, and yes done nothing much of anything lately.

Why do I keep you employeed here? Sometimes I wonder.

You'd better change your attitude and get to work. Maybe it's your life outside of work, I am not sure, but smarten up. I suggest you start taking something to help you concentrate more and start eating right. I am telling everyone that is on the cutting board to start taking these supplements. I know these work because I have have used them on a few of the others over the past few years. Take them, they work. Otherwise you'd better focus a hell of alot more or you'll be looking for a new job fast.
