PTAP: Pray Through the Arabian Peninsula

Monday, January 31, 2005

Pray for the MBB who is relating to group of National men at their weekly basketball matches. He has been able to have some spiritual conversations, but longs to be able to go deeper with the Gospel. Pray for opportunities.

Pray for the National believers that are being hassled by the local government authorities. Pray that they would remain steadfast. Pray for their families during this time of extended separation.

Praise God for a group of new believers that met for the first time this week. Pray for unity, protection and growth for each of them.

Pray for the many visits with locals in the desert at this time. In tents, away from TV and other distractions many have heard the gospel. Pray the tentmakers will have the words to say.

There have been a few terrorist attacks in the last 2 weeks. Some policemen were shot and some other places have been targeted. Ask for protection and wisdom for the MBBs and for the tentmaker community. .

Pray for the young National woman who came to know the Lord a year ago. She still can't get out of the house to fellowship with other Christians. She is at least able to read her Bible, and is even able to talk with her mother about her faith. Praise the Lord that the mother is open to discussing the Gospel.

Pray for a Christian couple involved in ministry who are not walking together in the Lord. May the Lord show them their need to submit, bless and care for each other.

North Korea - PRAY

This month, Open Doors launched a prayer campaign for North Korea – the world’s most extremely closed country today.

There are approximately 355,000 Christians, most are underground believers. It is believed that 100,000 Christians suffer horrendous persecution in silence, inside the so-called hidden gulag.

May your prayers become their source of joy and strength.

Please pray for them!

==================
Prayer Points:

Pray for the Church in North Korea and its leaders, that they will not be (mis)led by government propaganda.

Pray for blessings for our Christians brothers and sisters and many organizations in South Korea, so that they can continue to evangelize and support the Christians in North Korea.

Pray that the economic situation in North Korea will change and that outsiders will be allowed to go inside with food aid.

Pray that the indoctrination of children will be curbed and that the new generation will have an opportunity to hear the Gospel.

Pray for the safety of Christians who are planning to flee to China or South Korea.

Pray for protection for Christians in China who accomodate the refugees from North Korea and in this way put themselves in extreme danger.

Pray for the Christians (estimated 100,000) in the prison camps that they will not deny God.

Pray for the underground churches that they may grow despite the harsh condition.

Pray that the hearts of the leaders may be opened to the Truth, and that the regime of Kim Jong II may be brought down.

Many thanks for your prayers for our brothers & sisters in N korea & China.
