From a key worker:
Threats on the King
“There is a fundamentalist Muslim group named "al adel wa l ihssan" led by Sheikh Abdessalam Yassin. This group proclaimed that they have seen a vision from God and the prophet Mohammed telling them that they will take over the country in 2006. They are expecting the assassination of the king. Please pray for Morocco and this issue. Pray that the plans of this group will fail. Pray that God’s peace will keep this country from the enemy's plan. Pray that the Lord will protect the king's life and bless him in the name of Jesus.”

NORTHCENTRAL REGION:
Pray for answers to prayer for healing for nationals so the Lord will be glorified and Christian faith and witness is seen to be accompanied by power. Pray for favor in the eyes of local authorities as workers set up businesses and seek residency. Pray for a project now forming that will likely save lives and will minister to some of the most vulnerable and hurting people in Moroccan society.

WESTERN COASTAL REGION:
Praise God for phenomenally rapid growth in a church ministering to expatriates including many African mmigrants and students in this large city. Praise Him for the many who are studying God’s Word through the ministry of this church. Ask God to raise up more teachers and leaders to meet the growing needs.

CENTRAL REGION:
Praise the Lord, the final draft of “God's Story” audio project is completed. In the next step, recordings are matched with film images and a draft master VCD is created. Then workers will re-check it, make any necessary changes, and record a final master before it will be ready for duplication. Pray !!

Pray for wisdom regarding possible distribution of Berber Gospel materials to Berbers traveling through European locations. Praise the Lord for improving Berber language-learning materials and growing numbers of workers studying the local Berber language.

Ask for leading and guidance for a family planning to move into the region. Pray for others seeking where to locate as well as those in the process of setting up residency platforms, getting papers, housing, language helpers, etceteras.

Continue to pray for a group of believers that stopped meeting for worship due to relationship tensions. With so few groups, when one fails it is discouraging. Pray for isolated believers, some isolated by distance and others, as they do not understand their need for fellowship. Pray for wisdom for the workers in contact with them. Pray for provision of good employment for all believers seeking it.

Ask the Lord to strengthen faith in the face of personal trials and difficulty. Worker families have recently experienced such things as a car accident, death in the family, and extended periods of separation, sickness, and theft.

SOUTHCENTRAL REGION:
Lighthouse Church:
Pray as church members travel to another city to encourage members of a new house church. Pray for strong, growing relationships between national churches.

Ask the Lord to bring new disciples to the Lighthouse church. Pray for one young woman to return to the faith and to the church. Pray the children will enjoy the newly begun Sunday School program and that it will help them grow in their faith.

SOUTHWESTERN REGION:
Praise God that He is sending more workers to the Berbers of this region.

Recently workers and local believers have suffered various health problems that have hindered the work. As the growing gospel witness poses a greater threat to the kingdom of darkness, attacks from the devil have increased. Pray for protection of believers and join them in prayer for piercing the darkness that blinds their unbelieving Arab and Berber friends. Pray for freedom from fear for national believers to come together to worship and study God's Word.

Pray for long-term workers as they venture into new “fields” to sow Gospel seed. Pray too for a fresh harvest from fields they have cultivated and sown for years.

FAR SOUTH:
Praise and thank the Lord for continued fruit bearing. Pray for the new believers and the new church that is forming. Pray for protection and wisdom for workers. Thank the Lord for the wonderful rains that have filled the local reservoirs in this desert region.

WIN - AEIOU (February 6-12) + Indonesia

Indonesia - Pray for an end to the forced church closures in West Java and that Christians throughout Indonesia will have enough churches in which to worship.

Western Sahara - Pray for renewed efforts to resolve the sovereignty of this disputed territory.

Egypt – Pray that a Presidential decree decreed in December concerning church buildings would be implemented and lead to changed practice.

Behold the Lamb!

February 6, 2006

"Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world" - John 1:28

PRAISE:
We have had many teams visiting our country looking for ways to partner with the work that the Lord is doing here. We have had 2 groups from Korea and one from Hong Kong in the past week. Praise the Lord for the sending Asian churches!

PETITION:
Please pray for an old woman who is surrounded by fundamentalist women. She is a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and is in a very dark place, she is desperate and needs our prayers.

Pray for the tentmakers in language school. Studying Arabic can be a very stressful and frustrating activity. Pray that the many singles and couples currently in language learning across the 7 countries of the AP would be able to master the heart language of the Arabic speaking people in the Arabian Peninsula.

Pray for the 2 young tentmaking families that are very actively looking for positions in the AP. One couple has 2 offers for employment and must seek God’s preferred location. The other couple has many applications submitted and are patiently waiting on the Lord to open and close the appropriate doors.

Pray for the churches in Sharjah, UAE. They are hosting the ship MV Doulos for the next 2 weeks. There will be seminars for various churches, opportunities to bring seeking friends to the ship and challenging outreach activities as well.

Lift up “Mike” an expatriate Arab Muslim who is very close to the kingdom. He has met with a pastor and several tentmakers for the past 3 months very intensely. Just last week he met a Muslim who has become a Christian. Pray that Mike would make the step of faith in Jesus.

TESTIMONY:
Just a few weeks ago, we had one of the biggest holidays of the year, Eid Al-Adha. This holiday is a time to remember the story of Abraham and his willingness to sacrifice his son to God. Muslims celebrate God’s provision of a lamb instead of Abraham’s son. Similar to Old Testament times, Muslims in this part of the world still slaughter their own lambs. It is a time of remembrance, time with family, and a time of celebration.

As this celebration was approaching, I was talking to my downstairs Arab neighbors about various holidays. They were a bit confused by our religious holidays and needed me to explain what each one was. What an opportunity! I told them about Christmas being Jesus’ birth and used their holiday, Eid Al-Adha, to explain Easter. Referring to the lamb that they would soon be eating, I said, “Do you know what John, a follower of Jesus, said about him when he saw Jesus for the first time?” Of course, they didn’t. I shared John 1:36, “Look the lamb of God!” Then I explained that Jesus is referred to as a lamb because he is a sacrifice just like the lamb that God provided for Abraham. The difference is Jesus’ life pays for our sin once and for all. Please pray that this imagery of the Lamb of God would take hold of their hearts!
