When it comes to the Middle East, the news media often tells
the public about events related to Jews or Muslims. In contrast,
little news or silence is heard about the 15 million Middle-Eastern
Christians in this birthplace of Christianity.
This spring the silence was broken through a conference, Sounds
of Hope (http://www.soundsofhope.net), co-sponsored by Venture
International (http://www.ventureint.org) and by the Billy Graham
Center on the campus of Wheaton College. The event fulfilled
a dream of Venture founder Leonard Rodgers to bring Christian
leaders together from the East and the West.
