PTAP: Praying Through the Arabian Peninsula
Praise the Lord! Thank you for all the prayers over the past several weeks for new believers in the Arabian Peninsula. Several of these believers are now meeting with other MBBs in their own city. This is the humble start of a new church! This is something that has not existed in the region since Islam spread throughout the region in the mid-600s AD.
Praise the Lord for the growth in expatriate churches of all ethnic and language backgrounds. We are so thankful for the spirit of partnership and pulling together that is common among the churches in the Arabian Peninsula. The growth of MWC (Majority World Churches) in the region is truly a work of God brought about on the wings of prayer of the many faithful PTAP prayer networks and individuals.
Pray for the international team of tentmakers that are fund raising in North America for 20+ projects geared to spread the Good News of Jesus across the Arabian Peninsula. Praise the Lord for the Chinese, Arab and Filipino representatives on this team. God is already using them to encrourage many!
Pray for “K” and “N”. They came to know the Lord after 9/11 caused them to question Islam. They received a Bible and together came to the Lord. They have been so hungry to grow in the Lord. They both face very difficult situations due to their conversions. Pray that they would remain strong and that His good & perfect will would be revealed soon.
Pray for the children of tentmakers working in remote areas. Several children have been very ill recently. Others are being schooled in isolation from other children due to their location. Pray for God’s work in their lives.
Pray for “M”. He is a secret police that was threatening a tentmaker in our country. Eventually, he asked for an Arabic New Testament. His scoffing and attacks have turned into genuine interest and serious questions. Pray for those he meets with.
Pray for the Muslim truck driver from a neighboring country who spends much time in the United Arab Emirates waiting to travel on time-restricted highways in the commercial capital of the country. He has been reading his Bible, but wants to meet with a Christian in Arabic to help him understand the words of Jesus. Pray that a tentmaker with time off during the day would be able to meet with him.
