T.S.: Some pain relief
Today my wife & I took T. up to Little Rock, AR to see his doctor, a pain specialist. T. seemed more alert than usual. Still, he has a lot of pain besides just back related. When the doctor learned that the latest injury was the result of an assault, he asked, "Do you have a gun?" T. is wise enough to realize that this would really not resolve the pain! He has been referred to another doctor now who is more of a "problem solver" rather than just a "maintenance man" in the medical world.
Praise God:
1. T. continues to become more cheerful.
2. His wife is holding up pretty well, as is their child.
3. We (Mert & Sheila) were able to take T. to Little Rock. What a blessing.
4. God kept us safe, although a local resident did rear-end us and we had to wait for a little longer than the normal amount of time for a police officer to come to the scene.
5. We were able to get some Asian groceries for Sheila.
6. We made the trip there & back safely other than that 1 little disturbing incident.
Pray:
1. That God will strengthen T's back & his faith.
2. That T's bone structure in his back will be restored!
3. That the Lord will reveal the root issue and that it will be resolved.
4. That we will be able to get the car repaired at minimal cost, that insurance would come through, and that there would be no injuries sustained. (My neck was jolted pretty dramatically, but my head does seem to remain loosely connected to the rest of my body. Sheila's head was more supported by her headrest.)
5. The S's reconnection to the body of Christ. The seem to want fellowship.
