Women, Muslims & Ministry
Mrs. Williams communicates very well:
"As a mother of four, let me say that ... the pain of labor is nothing compared to the sin of rebellion. ... My feeling is that women who stay at home with their children, as at the time of the writing of the scripture mentioned, have the opportunity to disciple their children, and grow up themselves in their walk with the Lord as they seek Him about how to raise and discipline their children. ... I have learned a great deal about the Father heart of God in raising my children to be godly individuals."
I was reading in Titus about the role of older women teaching younger women ... in my experience, this is a greatly neglected ministry. There really is little need to recontextualize the words which Paul wrote to Titus (Titus 2:3-5). We need more women who will lead out in reaching the many Muslim and other women who are struggling to raise their kids in this society!
... A small testimony, not of work among Muslims. 1.5 years ago, a couple plopped into our home & lives. They had a child & many other things, so we had to ask them to leave 6 months after they arrived ... But God's grace is greater.
He & I kept in touch. I urged him to step up & speak, to minister, to witness, etc. Now, the young man is a leader in the church they have been faithfully attending for 9-10 months. As various women have invested in his wife's life, she too has matured.
Please pray for Jeremiah as he grows in wisdom, and in favor with men & with God. Please pray that his ears will be attentive to the Lord's voice & that joy will fill his heart more & more.
