BRAZIL: The "old" wicked witch is dead, New Life is received!

BRAZIL. Missionary Keith Jefferson writes: "Good News! The 'wicked witch' of the Casinhas quilombo (an interior village inhabited by former slaves) is not dead. No, praise God, she is saved! In addition, one of her daughters, who was a prostitute in Casinhas, has also committed her life to Jesus. This happened recently when a volunteer team from Texas was working in the quilombo. A Brazilian missionary couple who work 15 days each month in Casinhas informed us that these two women are the most well-known women of the village and surrounding areas. And now, many quilombolas are talking about their conversion. Praise God! The former prostitute has asked forgiveness of the wives of the men with whom she had been and is now being accepted by the women of the village. Unfortunately, her daughter (the witch's granddaughter) is still a prostitute, so please pray for her salvation. Thank God for the six new converts who have recently been baptized and for the many others to w hom we have witnessed while volunteer groups have helped meet physical needs through eye and dental clinics, well-drilling, etc."
