Jesus & a Muslim politician
I have found that simply establishing universal human sin (the hearer &
my own) is often a good way to get onto the need for the cross.

A recent conversation:
I was carrying a green, bilingual Book with Arabic writing.
Muslim politician: "See he is a good guy, he's got a Qur'an."
Me: "No, it is the Taurat, the Nabi, the Zabur, and the Injil."
M. Polit: "So what religion are you?"
Me: "Do you mean what Prophet do I follow & honor, or what religion do
I seek to practice?
M. Polit: "Good question! What religion?"
Me: "I believe that true religion is to keep oneself free from
defilement (motioning to my heart & mouth), and to look after widows &
orphans in their distress."
M. Polit: "Good answer."
I later wrote the politician a letter based on the conversation that
had happened at the political campaign meeting which followed.
"Honor is an essence seen." ... This was the slogan for the campaign
fundraiser. The letter included quotes from Isaiah that were pertinent
to the meeting & a call to repentance.
