INJUSTICE!!
Muslims rebel against Quran.
Muslims kidnap - a capital punishment, according to the Law.
Egyptian Muslims must change this way or be called into account by God!
Egyptian Muslims must turn to the Lord Jesus or else they will miss His mercy.

EGYPT - COPT FINDS MISSING SISTER IN MUSLIM HOME
from: Compass Direct (http://www.compassdirect.org)
March 31,
2006

Following a three-month search, an Egyptian Christian has discovered his missing sister living with a Muslim family near her home town and professing faith in Islam.

Spurred by a brief telephone message from Theresa Ghattass Kamal saying that she was being held against her will and forced to convert to Islam, Sa'eed Ghattass Kamal last week tracked his sister’s suspected captors to the Bedouin desert area of El-Ga'ar, near his home in Wadi El-Natroun, 50 miles northwest of Cairo.

EGYPT: Kidnapping

CHRISTIAN WOMAN'S KIDNAPPING: raises concern over Coptic girls' abductions

Urgent prayer is needed for an Egyptian Christian woman kidnapped for forced conversion to Islam. Currently, Theresa Ghattass Kamal, who disappeared nearly two months ago, has held out against the pressures while being imprisoned in a Cairo apartment, but Christians worldwide are encouraged to intercede so she continues to stand firm in her faith.

AEIOU - Egypt

EGYPT: MISSING WOMAN CONTACTS FAMILY FOR HELP
Compass Direct - http://www.compassdirect.org
February 23, 2006

Missing for over a month, a young Christian woman has telephoned her relatives and reported being imprisoned in a Cairo apartment while facing pressure to convert to Islam.

Last seen in the village of El-Saff, 30 miles south of Cairo on January 3, Theresa Ghattass Kamal briefly contacted her aunt on January 24. She told her aunt that she had not yet succumbed to her unknown captors’ demands that she become a Muslim, her brother Sa’eed Ghattass Kamal told Compass. Her phone call contradicted earlier police statements that she had converted to Islam voluntarily and did not want to see her family again.

Further investigation by Sa’eed Kamal revealed that no official
records of his sister’s conversion existed at Cairo’s Al-Azhar
Islamic center. [T]he origination point of the 19-year-old woman’s call [was a] house as “a dangerous place, full of fundamentalists.”

Egypt: Christianity & Christmas in perspective

As I post this, I remember that Hosea recorded the word of the Lord: out of Egypt I will call My Son. This was later fullfilled in the life of Jesus (see Matthew 2).

EGYPT: GLAD TIDINGS FROM CAIRO

By J. Lee Grady

... Normally I wake up to the sound of an alarm clock at 6 a.m. But today, long before that hour, I was jarred out of a deep sleep by the sound of a Muslim cleric singing his prayers over a loudspeaker near my apartment on the Nile River. ... [O]ne of the world’s oldest Christian communities is rooted here. These Christians have lived in the shadow of Islam for centuries, enduring persecution and discrimination. But I am happy to announce that the Egyptian church is headed toward its finest hour.

... “God is showing us that he loves the Arab people,” my new friend explained. Egypt’s Christians are holding fast to a promise from the prophet Isaiah, who predicted hundreds of years ago that spiritual renewal would sweep from Egypt to the other nations of the Middle East.

“In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together. In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth.”
(Isaiah 19:23-24, NIV)

... when you visit this region you realize more is happening under the surface than what we hear about in Western media reports. God is on the move. ... Arab Christians feel neglected and abandoned by many of us in the West. They don’t understand why some Western Christians seem to show favoritism toward Jews, especially when the Israeli government has at times persecuted and harassed Arab believers in the Palestinian territories. +

Egyptian Christians love all lost people, this leader told me. “But our love for the Jewish people should not cause us to love any other group of people less.” During my December visit to Cairo, just a week before Christmas, I was reminded that Mary and Joseph brought the infant Jesus to Egypt to hide him from King Herod (see Matthew 2:13-15). ...

+ [This is particularly an issue when Christians are unjustly biased towards those who are Jews according to the flesh while they neglect to show kindness to God's chosen people who have faith, whether Jews or Arabs or from other ethnic backgrounds in Israel or elsewhere. The issue is: will we look to politics or will we seek for the presence of God.]

EGYPT: Persecution of Christians by Muslims

Muslim Fanatics attacking Christians in Alexandria, Egypt

Dear Intercessor,

We have recently received word of an imminent and dangerous threat to the lives of our brothers and sisters in Christ who live Alexandria, Egypt and the surrounding areas. It is urgent that we pray immediately because of the time difference. This could be occurring as you read this. The text you see below was sent from an undisclosed reliable contact affiliated with WIN:

THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM IN ALEXANDRIA, EGYPT!

Last Friday on the day of prayer, there were large demonstrations against Christians stirred up by fanatic Muslims and several people were killed. The extremists are threatening to have more demonstrations today, Friday 28 October, and stir up a mob. Last night the Islamic extremists went around the town marking the homes of church leaders and other Christians with black marks.

They are planning to begin slaughtering the Christians in Alexandria at 1:00 EST today.

There is much fear!

Please pray for the Christians as some are ready to die for their Faith. Also pray for the Ministry of Interior and the security forces of the Country of Egypt, that they will protect the Christians from the onslaught of violence. Especially pray for Father Zakeria Butrous, who has become a prime target of the radicals.

We fight not against flesh and blood! This is spiritual warfare in its most stark form!

Please pray in agreement:

Psalm 91 protection over all of us. We release the top-ranking warring angels to demolish the evil that's coming against our Brothers and Sisters! Lord release the Captain of the Lord of Hosts’ Army to defeat this planned uprising. Open up the eyes of these deceived and wicked people to see the Army of the Lord fighting and defeating the wicked demonic forces. Let them see the Army of the Lord of Hosts patrolling the streets on behalf of the Christians and keeping them safe from danger. Oh Lord, according to Psalm 20 bring safety, plunder the enemies camps and bring salvations to everyone in this area. Pray against the spirit of compromise and fear that is attacking the Christians in Egypt. Amen

Also, simultaneously there are numerous anti-Israel and anti-American riots taking place in Iran during the final Friday of Ramadan (Jerusalem Day). Pray against this antichrist spirit that is stirring in the Islamic world. Call upon the Prince of peace to intervene on behalf of His Bride and children of Abraham. www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/10/28/iran.reaction/index.html
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4384264.stm

Pray for the shining light of God’s glory to emanate throughout Iran and other nations that have aligned themselves with this hostile regime. Ask the King of the Jews to shake these leaders off their high horse of power and religious pride like he did with the fanatical Saul of Tarsus. Release the angels of God to stir up a righteous boldness in the U.N. Security Council and other global powers to confront the contentious remarks coming out of Tehran. Thank our heavenly Father for sending angelic Special Forces to battle the demonic forces that seek to eradicate the Church and Israel. Release a spirit of grace and peace over these volatile situations.

WIN: Egypt - Persecution

Egypt, Middle East

Leader: President Hosni Mubarak
Dominant Religion: Sunni Islam
Christians: 6-12%
Persecution Ranking: 35th

Egypt is the most populous Arab nation, having over 70 million people and growing fast. President Mubarak's ruling National Democratic Party is cautiously proceeding with political and economic reform. National groups are campaigning for better human rights.

The Christian Church in Egypt dates from the time of the apostles and represents 8-10% of the population. All citizens are assigned a religious registration at birth, normally that of their father, which is recorded on a person's identity card. The designation on identity cards cannot be changed to reflect becoming a Christian. This causes serious problems for those who choose to follow Jesus, especially concerning marriage and the education of children.

Christians in Egypt are some of the most persecuted in the world. The government often prevents them from building new churches, getting jobs, and sending their children to school, resulting in poverty for many Christians.

<+><

Prayer points:

= Pray for wisdom for those who have chosen to follow Jesus and suffer serious problems because they cannot change their religious registration.

= Pray that God will encourage the Egyptian Christians to be bold and courageous.

= Pray that God will bring true religious freedom to Egypt with the right for Muslims to convert to Christianity.

= Pray that the reform process will bring benefits to all citizens of Egypt, and that the general human rights situation will improve.

<+><

Dear LORD God, we thank you for the land of Egypt. Grant wisdom and courage to President Mubarak and all who are seeking to bring reform to Egypt. Empower your Church to stand firm in the love and truth of Jesus. Grant patience and perseverance to those who have chosen to follow Jesus. May each receive the discipleship training they need and find mutually nourishing fellowship. Amen.
