When God’s People Pray...God Works!

It may seem overwhelming to even try to take in all that has happened so rapidly in the world within these last few weeks. One thing that is definite is the remaining comfort of knowing that "When God’s People Pray..God Works!" One powerful Praise Report as the result of prayer just happened on October 13, 2005. Kuwait officially is using Robot Camel Jockeys in their races and the young boys that had been used and abused before are receiving help! PLEASE PRAY FOR THE FOLLOWING NEEDS IN THE WORLD..AS WE PURSUE GOD’S HEART FOR THE NATIONS.

*** 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck close to Muzaffarabad in Pakistan has affected primary regions in and around Islamabad, Pakistan, Sringar, Kashmir and parts of India and Afghanistan. Estimations: 30,000 deaths; Tens of thousands have been injured and an estimated two million people are homeless. Native Christian missionaries within these countries and multiple Christian humanitarian groups are organizing their efforts along with many countries to help meet the needs of the people in these areas. War(especially in Kashmir), poverty, illness, flooding and bad weather conditions were already a major problem for the majority of the people in these regions. PRAY THAT THE MASSIVE NECESSARY ACTION TO HELP THE PEOPLE WILL BE MET! PRAY THAT AFTER THIS THERE WILL BE AN ONGOING CHANGE PHYSICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY FOR THESE PEOPLE IN THESE COUNTRIES..where must of the people are Folk Islamic or Hindu. Where Christians have faced multiple struggles and at times persecution. Pray that the love of Christ will reach the hearts of the people who often have been the victims not only of natural disasters but governmental corruption and civil unrest between the people groups within these countries. The children are especially vulnerable at this time and many are lost without there parents and are ill.

***DALIT PEOPLE OF INDIA.. The following request has come from Agape press (headlines.agapepres.org) "The president of a ministry that trains native missionaries to evangelize Asia is encouraging Christians worldwide to fast and pray next week as lawmakers in India decide whether basic human rights will be granted to that nation’s Dalit Christians! " India’s Supreme Court will meet on October 18! "There are approximately 300 million Dalits in India; and if those who convert to Christianity from Hinduism are guaranteed basic human rights, many will be open to the gospel of Christ, no longer hindered by fear of systemic discrimination and anti-Christian oppression." The Dalit people have been open to the gospel but pressure from the majority of Hindu powers have in some incidents forced Christian converts to deny their Christian stand and return to Hinduism . PLEASE PRAY FOR THE DALITS OF INDIA!

*** BIRD FLU VIRUS WAS CONFIRMED ON OCTOBER 13, 2005 TO BE THE DEADLY STRAIN IN THE COUNTRY OF TURKEY. Pray that this virus which has also been identified in Russia, Mongolia and China will quickly be controlled. Thank God that He has given the ability to Doctors and Scientists to identify the virus and if necessary to make a vaccine that can save the lives of millions of people who could be affected.

*** CARACAS, VENEZUELA: President Hugo Chavez announces on Oct. 13,2005 in a national televised speech that NTM (New Tribe Mission) missionaries would be expelled from the country. NTM has served these indigenous people of Venezuela for 59 years. In addition to bringing the gospel in a culturally sensitive way to the people they have ministered with humanitarian assistance, community development and education. They have never been involved in any issue with the government agencies and are being falsely accused of doing this by some Venezuelan government officials. PRAY THAT NTM LEADERS IN VENEZUELA WILL HAVE WISDOM AS THEY PURSUE FURTHER DIALOGUE CONCERNING THIS MATTER. PRAY THAT NTM MISSIONARIES WILL HAVE PEACE IN THIS SITUATION!

***GUATEMALA ..FLOODS AND MUDSLIDES : 500 men, women and children were killed in the village of Panabaj. The people in the village of Tzanchaj next to Panabaj were spared. The majority of these Mayan natives have been split between Catholicism and Evangelical Christianity. a small minority have maintained their Mayan spirit worship. Pray that this incident will strengthen the people to in their Christian faith.

*** INDONESIA..Major Islamic Crackdown on Churches in Indonesia is being enforced by the Islamic Militants. Pray that Christians will receive the strength they need at this time and God’s power will prevent the closing of these churches in Indonesia!

PRAY THAT THE PEOPLES OF RUSSIA, CHINA AND IRAN WILL KNOW GOD DESPITE GROWING MILITARY AND INTERNATIONAL CHANGES OCCURRING AMONG THEM

“Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.” Habakkuk 1:5

On August 18th, the top military leaders of Russia and China shook hands as they stood on the grounds of China’s Shandong Peninsula. They were beginning a seven-day maneuver involving a joint military exercise in order to show the world that they had settled their conflicts. They are now united in a peaceful bond after decades of a Cold War rivalry. The U.S. was not asked to observe these maneuvers, while representatives from India, Iran, Pakistan and Mongolia were all invited.

There are a number of issues that are significant:

1) Russia is also now China's main source of high-technology weaponry, while the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) has become an important source of foreign currency for the crumbling Russian military-industrial complex.

2) Russia and China have billions of dollars at stake with Iran. Both countries have energy supply agreements with Iran. Both countries supply weapons technology to Iran. Both countries are also interested in counterbalancing the political base of power in the Middle-East by aligning with Islamic nations against the United States and Israel. And both countries have a vital interest in keeping Iranian oil and gas flowing north. Russia warned against using force to stop Iran’s nuclear program, saying that any such action would have grave and unpredictable consequences.

3) Iran is working with Russian and Chinese scientists to perfect its missile delivery systems. Additionally, Iran has brought in top tunnel engineers from North Korea to design and help build underground facilities undetectable by the International Atomic Energy Agency and Western spy satellites.

4) Taiwan and Japan have openly expressed deep concern over the military threat of a combined force such as China, Russia and Iran.

PRAY for all believers especially in China, Russia, Iran and North Korea that they will reach the hearts of their own people who do not know God’s eternal glory and love. Pray for the military leaders that their hearts will be changed by God’s commandments and love.
