There is but one truth, Mike Sanders seems to say.

While there may be one truth, there are surly many perspectives on that truth. ship-of-fools.com offers a alternate perspective on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, one which is against the powerful persecuting the weak. Perhaps the best piece there is titled How to start an uprising. They also have information on what Amnesty International has been saying about the situation.

Mike Sanders quotes Ken Layne: Anybody who thinks it's cute to blow up children and call it politics doesn't deserve to play the game. That goes for Tim McVeigh, ETA, the IRA and the PLO. He left out an acronym: the IDF kills children, too.

Mike and Ken seem to lump all Palestinians in with the suicide bombers — they seem to say that because the bombers exist, all Palestinians should be oppressed. This is surely Israel's reasoning and they both have nary a word to say Israel's strategy might, possibly, be wrong.

In the meantime, supporters of Israel wonder how those of us with pacifist tendencies can remain so in the face of the terrible violence. Those of us (at least myself) look at these supporters and think Can't they see the cycle of violence they are helping to perpetuate?

And, Mike, here is a truth that demonstrates multiple simultaneous truths: Israel is the new anti-semite.

Want an a word processor, spreadsheet, etc. but don't want to shell out the cash for Microsoft Office? You could always copy MS Office (as too many people like to do). But, an alternative is Sun's StarOffice. You can even download the software that they built StarOffice on for free: OpenOffice.

ZDNet has a review

My half-brother is in the hospital again. He had another psychotic episode. The hospital staff has said he can't go back home to his wife and children yet, so my parents, 850 miles away, are considering taking him in for a bit. They did the same for Mert (another brother) after he had a psychotic episode.

But, they are fairly well equipped. My mother and father have both served on the board of NAMI in Arkansas, so they are familiar with the treatments and symptoms, and they have a support network of other families.

I got an email from my brother asking me if a virus warning going around telling people to delete the "jdbgmgr.exe" file from their computers was a hoax or not.

Second link in google search for "jdbgmgr.exe": Virus Hoax Making The Rounds - 'JDBGMGR.EXE'

It is strange how people will pass this stuff on rather than just doing some simple checking. I got an email last year from someone passing on a "Hillary C. refused to see reps from Gold Star Mothers, isn't that terrible?!?". So, you go to the website of Gold Star Mothers, and there on the frontpage is "We would appreciate it if the e-mails and negative comments about Senator Clinton would cease."

People like a good story (regardless of the harm) and don't care too much about the truth.
