Did I mention a couple of weeks ago that I was asked to justify my job? Evidently I did an okay job. I didn't get axed, but my boss did, along with several other people today. Not Good.

Eric S. Raymond, Open Source advocate, gun-toter, capitalist libertarian has started a blog. Now, if you want some good logorrhea, that is the place to go.

Grr... blogger.el is giving me fits. Or, perhaps that is the Blogger server giving me fits.

So I was harassed today by the maintainer of the Cygwin FAQ and Redhat because they claimed I was violating the GPL by distributing a binary of cygwin.dll without the source. (See my write-up on using tramp on NT.)

In this whole miserable process, I learned that Redhat's resident GPL expert is none other than DJ Delorie, the man who ported GCC to DOS years ago.
